Free Alarm Clock for iPhone — last updated 2026-05-20
TL;DR: we collect nothing. Everything stays on your phone.
What data we collect
None. The app does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information.
What data stays on your device
- Your alarms (time, label, repeat days, sound choice, dismiss mode)
- Your theme preference
- Settings toggles (show seconds, 24-hour format, anti-burn-in)
- Your Pro Pack purchase status (if you bought it)
All of the above is stored using Apple's standard on-device storage (SwiftData + UserDefaults). If you have iCloud Drive enabled, this data may sync between your own devices through Apple's iCloud service. We do not see, touch, or have any access to it.
Health & Motion data
Some optional features use Apple's HealthKit and Motion frameworks. This data is processed entirely on your device, is never transmitted to us or any third party, and is never used for advertising or sold:
- Sleep data (HealthKit): with your permission, the app reads your sleep samples from Apple Health to show last-night and weekly sleep duration on the dashboard. If you choose to, you may also save a sleep entry back to Apple Health. You can revoke this access at any time in iOS Settings → Health.
- Motion & step count: only when you enable the "Walk to dismiss" alarm mode, the app counts your steps locally to confirm you are awake. Step data is used in the moment and not stored or shared.
Network requests
The app does not make any network requests to any server we operate. The only network activity is:
- Apple's App Store, when you tap the Pro Pack purchase or Restore Purchases button (handled by iOS, not by us)
- Apple's iCloud service, if you have it enabled in iOS Settings (handled by iOS, not by us)
Third-party services
None. We do not use any third-party analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
Children's privacy
The app is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. Because we collect no data, there is nothing about children (or anyone else) that we could ever know.
Permissions the app may request
- Notifications: required for alarms to fire
- Critical Alerts (optional): only requested when you turn on "Heavy Sleeper Mode" on a specific alarm. Lets the alarm sound through Silent Mode and Focus.
- Health (optional): read sleep data to show sleep duration, and optionally save sleep entries you log. Stays on your device.
- Motion & Fitness (optional): count steps for "Walk to dismiss" alarms. Stays on your device.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy, the new version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
